Chez Michèle
This is a serious, mostly French list of 251 bottles built around red Burgundy and the Rhône, with reds making up nearly half the book and Cécile Tremblay anchoring the Burgundy section with over a dozen listings, backed by Drouhin and a small run of Domaine de la Romanee Conti. Champagne runs deep too, more than 20 references with Jacquesson among them, and the whites lean Alsace, Bourgogne, and Rhone. There is no by the glass program, so everything here is a bottle commitment, and the prices we have seen sit in the 135 to 250 euro range, meaning this skews toward the higher end. Rose and dessert are afterthoughts at eight and two bottles. This rewards a guest who wants to go deep on Burgundy or Rhone reds and is ready to buy a whole bottle to do it.
