FAGN
This is a deep, classically built list at FAGN, 346 bottles weighted toward French and Italian benchmarks, with red Burgundy and Piedmont leading the still wines and Champagne anchoring the sparkling. The strengths are obvious in the producer depth: ten bottlings of Giacomo Conterno in Piedmont, plus serious verticals from Ridge in California, Denis Carre and William Fèvre in Burgundy, and grower Champagne from Bruno Paillard and Charles Heidsieck. There are quieter corners worth knowing too, notably white Jura and the Pfalz in Germany, so a guest off the obvious path has somewhere to go. Be clear on price before you pour: examples run from around 2900 NOK up past 7350 NOK, so this is a cellar for occasion drinking and collectors, not casual ordering. There is no wine by the glass, so every recommendation is a full bottle commitment, and the list rewards a table that knows what it wants in Burgundy, Piedmont, or Champagne.
