MAASS by Ryan Ratino

This is a short, all by the glass list, just 16 wines and every one of them pourable, so there is no bottle program to speak of and nothing to cellar. It leans red and sparkling, with California showing up in the still wines and a few sommelier selections rounding it out. Prices run easy, from $18 to $95 with most pours sitting around $24, the one splurge being Krug 171eme Edition at $95 while the rest stay friendly. Champagne anchors the bubbles with Krug and Veuve Clicquot, and you will see familiar names like Hartford Court and Clos du Val on the still side. Treat this as a tight, approachable pour list for guests who want a good glass without studying a book, not a list for the collector.
