Gianni's Steakhouse

This is a big steakhouse list, 520 wines, and it is built around red, with 346 of them, heavily weighted toward American Cabernet and Bordeaux blends along with serious depth in France and Italy. That red focus shows up in the producers we carry deep, Mount Eden Vineyards, Shafer, Peter Michael, Neyers, and Ridge, plus a real Burgundy trophy section anchored by Domaine de la Romanee Conti, whose La Tache tops out at $6,000. The range is wide, bottles run from $6 to $6,000 with a median around $135, so there is genuine value below the median even though the top end gets rarefied. The glass program is strong at 60 pours, which gives you flexibility to sell up and to match a table that does not want to commit to a bottle. Sparkling and dessert or fortified are both real here too, 57 bubbles including Schramsberg and 31 sweet or fortified with Sandeman and DOliveiras, so this list rewards a guest who wants a steak red but also one who wants to open and close the meal properly.
