Il Desco

This is a big, Italy first cellar of just over 800 bottles, and it leans hard into the home court: Tuscany and Piedmont anchor the reds, but the real signature is Veneto, with deep verticals of Masi, Allegrini, Quintarelli, and Bertani that give you serious Amarone and Valpolicella to work with. Whites are well covered too, especially Anselmi and Maculan from the region, plus a strong Alto Adige and Friuli presence, and Gaja shows up across the Piedmont section if a guest wants a benchmark name. France is present but secondary, mostly Champagne, the spumanti, and a tidy run of Loire. Know going in that there is no by the glass program, so every table is a full bottle commitment, and pricing sits at a fine dining level with plenty of bottles in the 140 to 280 euro range. This list rewards the guest who wants regional depth and older Veneto reds, not the one looking for a quick pour or a bargain.
