La Foresta Restaurant & Wine Bar

This is a big red list, plain and simple. Of roughly 1,275 wines, over a thousand are reds, built squarely on Italy and the United States, with Tuscany and California doing the heavy lifting and France a clear third. You see the depth in the producers we carry in numbers: Marchesi Antinori, Gaja, and Paolo Scavino on the Italian side, Ridge, Caymus, and Opus One on ours, plus a real run of large format bottles. Prices stretch from $11 to $8,500, topping out with DRC La Tâche and Masseto, but the median sits around $90, so most tables can drink well without straining. Whites and rosé are thin by comparison, and the 22 glass pours are modest against a list this size, so steer the curious drinker toward bottles. This rewards the guest who wants serious Italian or Napa reds and isn't afraid to dig.
