Lucciola Italian Restaurant

This is a deep, Italy first list of nearly 1,500 bottles, built around Piedmont and the Veneto, with Barolo alone running to 145 selections and strong showings in Valpolicella, Montalcino, and Tuscany. The backbone is serious Italian producers like Gaja, Pio Cesare, Fontanafredda, and Emidio Pepe, with Benanti giving real Etna depth, while sparkling is a genuine strength through Champagne, Ferrari, and a heavy Billecart Salmon presence. There is plenty of French firepower too, with Bordeaux and the trophy bottles at the top, Petrus and several vintages of Lafite Rothschild climbing past five figures. Bottles open at $69 and the median sits around $249, so you can drink well without going deep, but know there is no wine by the glass, so every table is committing to a full bottle. This list rewards a guest who wants Italian regional character and a somm who can steer them through Barolo and Amarone.
