March

This is a deep, red driven cellar built around Burgundy and Italy, with 881 reds against 221 whites, so steer anyone wanting white or rosé carefully since rosé is a single bottle. The strengths are classic and grower focused: Piedmont and Tuscany run deep, Champagne is led by grower houses like Bérêche et Fils, and the Burgundy bench is serious, with Rousseau and Cathiard plus a full Domaine de la Romanée Conti vertical that tops out near $19,000. It rewards the collector and the trophy hunter, but it is not only a high roller list, with bottles starting at $17 and a median around $322. Note the breadth beyond the obvious, including Lebanon's Musar at 30 listings and Corison from California. The by the glass program is lean at 16 pours, so for exploration by the glass set expectations and lean on the bottle list.
