Spring

This is a red driven list, with 60 of 117 selections in red and the real depth sitting in the Northern Rhône and Burgundy, anchored by three Domaine Jean Louis Chave bottlings including Hermitage at the top of the book. California is the other pillar, led by Continuum and Arnot Roberts, so you can pivot a guest between old world Syrah and Napa Cabernet without leaving the strengths. Prices run wide, from $10 up to $709 with a median around $86, so there is everyday access alongside grand cru splurges, and the 21 wines by the glass give you room to work the floor across sparkling, white, and red. Whites are thinner by comparison but real, with white Burgundy the smart play, and there is a solid digestif and dessert section with Kopke leading the fortified offerings. This list rewards a guest who wants serious Rhône and Burgundy reds, and it gives you flexibility on price when they don't.
